No email sent

I log and issue and get the screen that says I will be sent an email. The email does not arrive. Checked address even tried a different one. Checked Trash and Bin but no where to be found (gmail account. All other mail is working fine. 3 attempts now and getting annoyed. Has the New Zealand (Auckland) area been lost, kicked out or something?
