ability to add more descriptive tags
Reported by team@SSC | July 20th, 2009 @ 04:37 PM
The new view of the datasets created by organisation is powerful
and highlights how useful it would be to have a subject view that
reflects what the data could be used for and purpose for which the
data was collected.
team@ssc suggests that the community could be well placed to help
tag the datasets in this way.
for example team@ssc would be willing to tag with the structured taxonomy called "functions of government" and "subjects of government" (FONZ and SONZ). But at present we only seem to be able to contribute this through the comments on each dataset post. We'd be happy to do it this way as long as someone was OK to add the data to the record?
unless there is a better way to do contribute directly to each
record?
what do you think Glen?
(we intended SONZ and FONZ to be part of a dataset catalogue we were planning, back in the day).

Those classifications look good. I'll look at the best way to get
these integrated, in the meantime maybe you could answer this question
- are these a one-to-many or one-one relationships between dataset and
classification? i.e can one dataset have many classifications?
